Market 36 Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Witham for a Manufacturing Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative business specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality retail display solutions for leading brands across a variety of industries.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming conceptual retail display designs into detailed, production-ready engineering documentation. You will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered with precision, creativity, and cost-efficiency—from prototype to final production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Translate industrial design concepts into detailed engineering drawings for fabrication
* Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Inventor
* Select suitable materials and processes (wood, metal, acrylic, plastic, print) considering cost, durability, and visual appeal
* Collaborate with production teams and external suppliers to ensure feasibility and accuracy
* Conduct tolerance analysis, create Bills of Materials (BOMs), and evaluate design for manufacture (DFM)
