OverviewDesign Engineer - Erdington, Birmingham - Up to £45,000 per annum plus benefitsWe’re looking for a Design Engineer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer, driving innovation from concept through to serial production.In this role, you’ll take ownership of the design and development of tyres used across civil and military aviation. You’ll combine your engineering expertise with cutting-edge design tools to ensure every product meets the highest levels of safety, performance, and compliance.What you’ll be doingDeveloping tyre design parameters in line with airworthiness and aircraft manufacturer requirements.Producing design definitions including geometry, specifications, tolerances, and tooling parameters.Supporting the creation of new design toolsets and performance analysis methods.Coordinating tyre qualifications with both customers and regulatory authorities.What we’re looking forBSc/BEng in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (MSc an advantage).3+ years’ product design experience (preferably aerospace, automotive, or tyres).Proficiency in CAD (Solidworks/AutoCAD) and familiarity with FEA (Abaqus).Strong analytical, organisational, and project management skills.A proactive team-player with excellent communication abilities.Why this role?Be at the forefront of innovation in aerospace tyre design.Work on projects that directly contribute to global aviation safety and performance.Join a collaborative technical team with opportunities to grow your expertise and career.Interested?If you’re ready to elevate your career and take on this exciting Design Engineer opportunity, apply today!
