Job Description
An industry-leading provider of bespoke acoustic and vibration control systems is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join their growing team. This permanent, full-time role will see you involved in the full project lifecycle — from design through to manufacture and installation — for projects ranging up to £2M in value. You’ll be based at the company’s head office, with occasional site visits and overnight stays as required.
Job Responsibilities
• Produce accurate 2D layout drawings and 3D manufacturing models using SolidWorks
• Conduct ventilation analysis (CFD) and generate client-facing reports
• Create full design packages, including BOMs, specifications, and installation documentation
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure designs comply with CDM 2015 regulations and health & safety best practices
Skills Required
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD LT (or similar CAD tools)
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and engineering design principles
• Experience with CFD simulation and PDM software (desirable)
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering discipline
