Description

Join a friendly team as a Desk Motor Engineer. The ideal candidate will be qualified to at least I.A.E.A or ATA (VDA) standards, with experience leading an engineering function within an insurance or independent firm. Responsibilities include valuing and negotiating repair costs, providing vehicle valuations, negotiating total loss settlements, and understanding salvage categories and claims management.

Experience with vehicle estimating systems such as Audatex and Glassmatix is essential. AQP qualification is preferred.

What will your day look like:

• Producing high-quality reports
• Assessing, valuing, and negotiating repair costs
• Providing vehicle valuations
• Negotiating total loss settlements
• Understanding salvage categories
• Claims management
• Liaising with field planning teams, repairers, and customers
• Supporting team members as needed

• Inspecting vehicles from cars to HGVs, agricultural implements, and caravans
