Role Summary
We seek a talented software engineer to join our Research Platform team. You will work closely with R&D to build a cloud-agnostic platform that enhances stability, scalability, and velocity in research. You will develop and optimize tools to empower researchers working with high-performance clusters.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex systems, focusing on reliability, reproducibility, and speed.
- Create flexible yet robust development environments for researchers.
- Design and maintain data pipelines handling large datasets.
- Optimize builds, container images, libraries, and environments.
- Collaborate with researchers to understand workflows and enhance productivity.
- Produce documentation and content to facilitate tool adoption.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of research platforms.
About You
- 5+ years in a similar DevOps/SRE role.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, and software development best practices.
- Experience with site reliability engineering, troubleshooting, and on-call operations.
- Knowledge of infrastructure management: CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, infra-as-code, monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ownership mentality, high autonomy, and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented and humble attitude.
Additional assets include experience with Bazel or similar build tools, Python ecosystem, GPU workloads, and remote work environments.

Location & Remote Work
This role is based in Paris, France, with a preference for local or willing-to-relocate candidates. Remote work is possible with some in-office visits, especially during onboarding. Candidates in France, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, or Italy may be considered for remote work with periodic visits to Paris.
