Overview

Job Title: Engineer – Diagnostic Development & Support

Location: Any UK Site

What You’ll Do

As a Diagnostic Development and Support Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for supporting service engineers tackling complex vehicle faults. You’ll investigate issues, capture learnings, and turn them into smarter on-board and off-board diagnostic features and tools. From developing fault codes and guided routines to working hands-on with vehicles and test rigs, you’ll play a key role in improving how our products are supported in the field.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with experience configuring and customising diagnostic toolchains, creating and maintaining ODX/OTX/CDD files, and a solid understanding of vehicle communications (J1939, UDS, CAN, LIN, IP). You’ll bring proven problem-solving skills, a clear and concise communication style, and the ability to make complex topics simple. Most importantly, you’ll have a genuine interest in vehicle technologies and a desire to make diagnostics better for the people who use them.

Bonus if you have: It’s a real advantage if you’ve worked directly on vehicle electrical systems, are familiar with V-model or structured development processes or have experience capturing engineering requirements.
