Job purpose

We're looking for passionate individuals to help realise our Digital Industrialisation Vision by building a complete digital record of the RR SMR power station, from concept to commissioning. This involves applying consistent data standards and a shared digital language across the entire value chain.

This role spans everything from CAD drawings and simulations to product details, instructions, physical components, and all the data and documentation created during build and commissioning. You'll play a key role in supporting and evolving our digital systems and technologies, ensuring that people, processes, tools, and information are aligned and production ready.

You'll collaborate closely with teams across Design, Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Supply Chain, Operations, and SMR IT to understand their business processes to define digital tools to standardise and simplify how we work. This includes improving how we use design data, developing new ways of working, creating and running simulations for on-site activities and material movement.

Together, we aim to define an end-to-end digital thread that supports delivery of RR SMR product and ensures that real-world data is captured and maintained throughout its lifecycle to provide future insights.

Responsibilities

Achievement in this role will be measured against on-time and on-budget delivery of digital technologies and systems projects to the required level of maturity, and ability to influence SMR IT delivery to support programme milestones. Initially focused on the development of digital tools and supporting rules essential for the planning and execution of the civils and construction elements of the SMR power station. To do this, the successful candidate will need to understand the civils and construction digital landscape, and support definition of the technology and capability roadmap for RR SMR to enable a full digital twin of each deployment of the product. The role will progress into operational performance, and support of digital operations across various RR SMR facilities, Supply Chain, and Partners including demonstrator programmes designed to mature manufacturing technologies, skills, and define best practice for people, process, information, and tools for continuous improvement.
