Director of Tax (corporation tax) £120,000 plus bonus London

Based in Central London my client has a unique portfolio of clients mainly family office and UHNWIs. There is a need to appoint a Director for Corporation Tax. This role will understudy the overall Director of Tax with a view to taking over the whole show in 2-3 years, presenting a wonderful opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Understudy the Director of Tax with a view to taking over the full scope in 2-3 years, leading a team and delivering tax compliance and advisory services to clients.
• Develop and grow the tax team, foster a positive working environment, and work with senior leaders to deploy strategies and commercial offerings.
• Provide UK tax knowledge and guidance to the team and clients; oversee complex compliance issues, transfer pricing, R&D tax credits, share schemes, and advisory matters.
• Work with international aspects, tax treaties, withholding issues, transfer pricing and permanent establishment reviews.
• Manage budget, time-cost management, sales targets, and delivery; develop networks for new client opportunities.
• Collaborate with the global network of Local Service Providers to deliver timely and quality advice; work as part of the management team; support risk management procedures.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified with ICAEW, ACCA or CTA
• 5+ years post-qualification with extensive management experience of a medium sized team
• Strong communication and leadership; ability to work with senior leaders and advise on tax strategy
• Excellent UK tax knowledge; international experience; tax treaties, transfer pricing, CIR, R&D tax credits, and share schemes where applicable
• Experience across complex compliance issues and advisory matters; ability to deliver to high-value clients
• Ability to work under pressure and manage client services; develop internal networks
