OverviewWe are looking for a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to join us on a permanent basis.About usWe are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people.DutiesCarry out Landlord’s Gas Safety Inspections, Day to Day repairs, Installation & Servicing of domestic gas appliances in tenanted and void properties either owned or managed by IncommunitiesProvide Out of Hours coverage on a rota basis (if contracted to do so) to maintain an out of hours breakdown service to our customersCarry out all general gas works, completing landlord’s certificates, gas appliance installations, be competent in fault diagnosis and repair of modern and traditional boilers and be able to carry out repairs to central heating systems, including fitting new pumps, motorised valves, radiators and adapting pipework as necessaryIdentify and order the correct parts and escalate works as required.Maintain adequate stock levels to complete the works without incurring repeat visitsQualifications and requirementsHave an ACS Qualification with elements CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1You will be required to use a PDA/Smart Phone unit to manage your workHave a good mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills and demonstrate a willingness to update yourself with technical innovation and changes as they occur within the industryManual driving licenceA basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process - Criminal Conviction ChecksSalary and benefitsSalary of £40,380.78 per yearFleet vehicle available to use during working hoursSocial Housing Pension Scheme - upto 10% employer contribution28 days annual leave that increases with service plus bank holidaysOption to buy and sell annual leaveTraining, development, and qualification opportunitiesOur Hub: our wellbeing and benefits site, with exclusive access to discounts and savings (at over 800 retailers)Corporate health scheme membershipAccess to an Employee Assistance ProgrammeCycle to work schemeLocal gym membership discountsA team of trained Mental Health First Aiders who are available for colleagues to contact for supportJoin Our TeamWe’re looking for great people to join us!
