Systems Engineer - Energy Weapon Technology. You will be part of a pioneering team advancing next-generation air defence capabilities, working across multiple technology streams to shape a deployable directed energy weapon system. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, engaging with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to translate intricate system needs into functional solutions. The role contributes to advancing defence technology and turning ambitious concepts into operational reality.

Responsibilities

  • Refine system requirements and functional design.
  • Conduct design trade studies and impact assessments.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and facilitate collaboration across teams.
  • Manage change processes and point of embodiment management.

Qualifications

  • Strong systems engineering expertise with experience in developing innovative solutions under challenging conditions.
  • Experience in requirements analysis and functional design.
  • Experience in design trade studies and impact assessment.
  • Experience in stakeholder liaison and collaboration.
  • Experience in change management processes and point of embodiment management.

Key Details

  • Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience
  • Location: Bristol (hybrid working, 2-4 days onsite per week)
  • Role type: Permanent
