Overview
Drainage Engineer - Jetting Team Leader role at Thermatic Group. We are looking for a full time Drainage Engineer - Jetting Team Leader to join our growing team of service engineers. You’ll be working alongside our other service engineers across the North Wales area with potential for some work in the North West. This is a fully remote lone working role and requires a full UK driving licence. This role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of our client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have previous drainage experience, and will be familiar with unblocking drains, high-pressure water jetting and carrying out looksee CCTV drain inspections. Ideally, you will hold the relevant competencies, but where training gaps are evident, or where refresher courses are needed, we will offer full support and training.

Hours & Location
Main location - This is a fully mobile role covering the North Wales area mainly with some work in the North West.
Regular hours of work - Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm, 42.5 hour working week.
Occasional out of hours work on an on-call rota may be required, including early starts, late finishes and weekend work.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum 2 years\' drainage experience
- Minimum 2 years\' experience operating high-pressure water jetting equipment
- High-pressure water jetting safety awareness certified
- Working knowledge of drainage systems
- Working knowledge of unblocking drainage systems
- Competent in using CCTV drain survey equipment
- Confident problem solver
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health and Safety obligations
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Minimum 2 years\' drainage experience within the reactive maintenance/FM industry
- Manual Handling
- First Aid
- Confined Space entry certified
- Use of CAT (cable avoidance tool) for utility and sonde location works - training will be provided
- Asbestos Awareness certified
- CSCS Card
Responsibilities
- Work on reactive contracts, undertake drainage fault-finding works, including CCTV drain surveying, HPW jetting/drain cleaning, drain unblocking, and drainage problem solving
- Provide accurate timesheet information within designated timeframes
- Support contract teams with meeting SLA\'s by attending client premises within required timeframes
- Support Thermatic in maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representatives and client customers
- Escalate major site issues or incidents via appropriate channels within required timeframes
- Support in the training and upskilling of junior engineers where required
