Drainage Design Engineer Location: Peterborough (Hybrid – 2–3 days on site/with stakeholders) Contract: Permanent Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Benefits
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Drainage Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team and deliver innovative Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) solutions across a variety of projects, from schools and highways to parks and public spaces. This role offers hybrid working, with a balance of site-based collaboration and remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of concept, outline, and detailed SuDS designs using Civil3D and InfoDrainage. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including modelling, CAD, construction, and landscape architecture teams. Engage with local authorities, highways departments, schools, and community groups to co-design effective drainage solutions. Provide design support through the construction phase, fulfilling Designer responsibilities under CDM 2015. Apply CIRIA guidance, British Standards, and regional design frameworks to ensure compliance and best practice.
