Draughting Engineer

As part of our Engineering division, you'll play a key role in supporting projects from initial concept through to delivery.You'll be responsible for producing high-quality technical designs and drawings, coordinating with sub-suppliers, and contributing to innovative, real-world solutions for offshore structures.
This is more than just a desk-based role.Once fully trained, you'll also have opportunities to visit onshore and offshore sites, including wind turbines and oil and gas platforms, gaining hands-on experience in a truly varied and rewarding role.
What you'll be doing:
- Creating detailed technical drawings and models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Draftsight
- Supporting proposal development by gathering accurate costings and timelines from sub-suppliers
- Assisting project managers with coordination, logistics, documentation and feasibility studies
- Working with field data and site observations to help develop design solutions
- Contributing to onshore and offshore inspections, feasibility studies and construction supervision (after appropriate training)
What we're looking for:
- A degree (or equivalent) in engineering
- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Draftsight
- A proactive, organised and adaptable approach to your work
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel occasionally to sites across the UK and offshore locations
- Experience in offshore renewables or oil and gas is desirable but not essential
