About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Draughting Engineer to join our client’s Engineering team at their Camberley office. This is an exciting opportunity to support high-profile engineering projects, providing administrative and technical support to our internal team, with the potential to progress to a Design or Project Engineer role in the future.

What you’ll be doing

  • Prepare technical designs and drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and DraftSight.
  • Support the team in project administration, including document control, logistics, and feasibility studies.
  • Assist in preparing engineering and commercial project proposals, coordinating with sub-suppliers to obtain accurate costs and timelines.
  • Provide off-site support for site inspections, data collection, and analysis, including potential offshore projects (training provided).
  • Contribute to the Company’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and promote best practices across projects.
  • Undertake occasional travel to UK-wide sites (approx. every 6 weeks) and potential US assignments.

What you’ll need

  • Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and DraftSight; mechanical design experience essential.
  • Excellent administrative, organisational, and project coordination skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, and eager with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel to UK sites and occasional offshore assignments.
  • High standard of written and spoken English.
  • Experience in oil, gas, or renewable offshore sectors desirable but not essential.
