Draughting Engineer - Camberley, SurreySalary: up to GBP45,000 | Permanent | Office-based (4-5 days/week)About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Draughting Engineer to join our client's Engineering team at their Camberley office. This is an exciting opportunity to support high-profile engineering projects, providing administrative and technical support to our internal team, with the potential to progress to a Design or Project Engineer role in the future.What's in it for youBe part of a stable, long-term team with low staff churn and strong opportunities for career progression.Work in a collaborative, professional environment with a clear path to Design or Project Engineer roles.Gain exposure to exciting projects across the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors.Enjoy flexible hybrid options (1 day/week) and a fully equipped office.What you'll be doingPrepare technical designs and drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and DraftSight.Support the team in project administration, including document control, logistics, and feasibility studies.Assist in preparing engineering and commercial project proposals, coordinating with sub-suppliers to obtain accurate costs and timelines.Provide off-site support for site inspections, data collection, and analysis, including potential offshore projects (training provided).Contribute to the Company's Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and promote best practices across projects.Undertake occasional travel to UK-wide sites (approx. every 6 weeks) and potential US assignments.What you'll needDegree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.Strong experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and DraftSight; mechanical design experience essential.Excellent administrative, organisational, and project coordination skills.Proactive, reliable, and eager with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.Willingness to travel to UK sites and occasional offshore assignments.High standard of written and spoken English.Experience in oil, gas, or renewable offshore sectors desirable but not essential.If this sounds like the right role for you, we'd love to hear from you.
