Your duties and responsibilities will be
This position involves supporting the CE&I design team, focusing on power systems and protection engineering. Responsibilities include creating and updating the project’s ETAP model, producing fault calculations, protection reports, and arc flash risk assessments, as well as providing specialist support to the wider design team. You will contribute to maintaining and enhancing the client's engineering standards and safety practices. The role offers a flexible work structure, with one day a week on-site in Hinton House and the rest from home.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Proven working knowledge of BS EN 60909 Fault Calculations
Proven experience with power distribution modelling software
Extensive background in Protection and Control systems (11kV & 400V)
Demonstrable experience with 11kV & 400V substation design
Proven ability to perform unit protection calculations (differential & high-impedance schemes)
Relevant design experience related to electrical infrastructure upgrades and working with ageing assets
Working knowledge of distribution network and electrical safety protocols
It’s great if you also have the following
Familiarity with design processes
Experience with CAD tools such as Trimble, ERACs, and Digsilent
Knowledge of IEC61850 and power system SCADAs
Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership in relevant discipline
