Job Title: QC Engineer - E&I\n Location: Reading\n Rate: £45/hr (Outside IR35)\n Clearance: SC clearance desirable; must be eligible to obtain\n\nA leading contractor working on a high-profile project in a regulated sector is seeking an experienced QC Engineer (E&I) to support ongoing site-based activities in Reading.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure compliance with QA/QC requirements across Electrical & Instrumentation scope\n\nSupport provision of Lifetime Quality Records, System Information Sheets, and O&M documentation\n\nLiaise with project, construction, commissioning teams, and third-party inspectors\n\nProvide technical support for E&I quality matters and inspections\n\nMaintain documentation within the company's Business Management System\n\nRaise Continuous Improvement Forms and support root cause analysis\n\nPromote quality improvements and support completions team meetings\n\nContribute to a strong HSE culture on site\n\nRequirements:\n\nStrong E&I and QC background\n\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001\n\nAble to read and interpret electrical schematics\n\nExperience in regulated sectors (e.g. nuclear, oil & gas)\n\nProficient in MS Office\n\nGood communication and reporting skills\n\nQualifications:\n\nC&G 2391 Testing & Inspection\n\nCSCS card (essential)\n\nCurrent SC clearance (desirable) or eligible to obtain
