OverviewWe are working with a multi–disciplinary consultancy with expertise across technical, environmental, civil, structural, and M&E engineering. They are now seeking an Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their growing MEP team in Birmingham. This branch of the business focuses primarily on design–led projects, delivering innovative solutions that balance technical, financial, social, and environmental goals.This role will sit within the newly established MEP division, offering the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers while also taking responsibility for delivering your own projects.What you\'ll be doingElectrical performance design and detailed construction design across RIBA stages 2–6Technical assurance, quality monitoring, and commissioning support on major projectsCollaboration with mechanical, civil, and structural colleagues across multidisciplinary schemesContributing to technically excellent, value–driven outcomes for clients across sectors including healthcare, residential, commercial, and infrastructureWhat we\'re looking for4–5 years\' experience in building services / MEP consultancy as an Electrical Building Services EngineerStrong technical capability in electrical design and assuranceConfident communicator, comfortable working in a client–facing role and within multidisciplinary teamsAbility to work under the guidance of senior team members while also managing your own project deliverablesHealthcare sector experience is desirable but not essentialRole detailsBased in Birmingham, with 3 days per week in the office (Tuesday–Thursday)You'll work directly alongside senior engineers, with scope to develop and take on more responsibility as the team grows.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious consultancy environment, with clear pathways for progression and exposure to high–profile projects.Calibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
