Astute's EPC Power team is partnering with a leading EPC Contractor within the UK Power Industry to recruit an Electrical Commissioning Engineer on a 6 month contract basis for its Waste to Energy project based in Chester, Cheshire The Electrical Commissioning Engineer role comes with a day rate of £450.00 to £500.00 per day.

Key skills and responsibilities: Work closely with the Electrical Lead Commissioning Engineer and the Commissioning team to successfully commission the electrical scope of works to completion. Hands-on commissioning of electrical components and systems such as, transformers, medium/low voltage switchgears LV/HV/MV, DC systems, rectifiers, inverters, motorized valves, instruments etc. Fully competent at using Primary & Secondary Injection test set equipment. Carrying out testing on electrical systems and equipment, as well as system optimization and troubleshooting and filling-in the respective commissioning documentation and protocols Cooperation with internal team members, guidance and coordination of external partners and sub-contractors, interacting with customers. Work closely with LV/MV/HV electrical engineers, electrical supervisors, technicians, etc. Participate in the Plan of the Day meeting daily providing resourceful inputs on the work progress.
