Electrical Commissioning Engineer – Onsite Role | £450-£500 per day | 4-Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support a busy data centre project through a peak delivery phase. This is a boots-on-the-ground role – you'll be out in the field all day commissioning and tagging, with minimal office time.
Start: Beginning of October (potential to start earlier). Duration: 4 months (through end of January). Location: Onsite. Rate: £450-£500 per day (outside IR35).
Responsibilities
- Hands-on commissioning, tagging, and walkdowns (W2).
- QA/QC checks as part of walkdowns.
- Work closely with the Commissioning Manager (who will handle documentation and project push).
- Focus on systems including Generators, UPS, Busbars, and related critical infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Proven commissioning experience across L1 to L3 stages.
- Strong background in mission-critical / data centre environments.
- Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of site-based commissioning tasks.
- Able to support QA/QC and ensure high standards of delivery.
