If you join us as an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer at Heysham 2 Power Station, near Morecambe, Lancashire, you’ll be at the heart of supporting EDF’s nuclear operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of fuel route works. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your technical expertise will directly contribute to the UK’s energy security and sustainability. Responsibilities
Apply high standards to fuel route work preparation and execution Provide technical fault finding, reporting and operational oversight Advise stakeholders including Senior Leadership, Operations and Engineering teams Prepare and execute fuel route work in line with safety policies Ensure compliance with site licence requirements and statutory regulations
This is a full-time, onsite role based at Heysham 2 Power Station, near Morecambe, Lancashire, working 37 hours per week. Essential Experience
Working with industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, drives, analogue systems) Delivering engineered solutions using electrical control equipment and instrumentation Fault finding and resolving engineering issues in a safe and effective manner Experience in nuclear or other regulated industries (e.g. petrochemical, pharmaceutical) Understanding of legislation, ACOP, Safe Systems of Work and industry standards
Qualifications
HNC / HND in relevant engineering discipline
