This vacancy has arisen due to progression within our team—a clear example of the career development you can expect at enfinium.
In this role, you’ll not only be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of high-voltage systems, control infrastructure, and emissions monitoring systems, but also for leading a team of four E,C&I Technicians—providing guidance, development, and technical leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing
Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, Operations team, and wider site specialists, you’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with team leadership to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  •  Leading and developing a team of 4 skilled E,C&I Technicians, setting priorities and providing technical support.
  • Maintaining and optimising critical plant equipment including DCS, SCADA, PLCs, HV/LV switchgear, and field instrumentation.
  • Supporting the operation and reliability of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) to ensure strict compliance with environmental permits.
  • Troubleshooting complex faults to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
  • Leading and supporting outage planning, execution, and capital project delivery.
  • Driving continuous improvement across safety, performance, and compliance.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a technically strong, people-focused, and safety-conscious engineer who thrives on solving problems and developing others.

Essential qualifications and experience:
  • HNC/HND (or higher) in Electrical, Electronic, or Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Authorised or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status on HV systems, or clear experience working towards this.
  • Practical experience maintaining and fault-finding on CEMS.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience, ideally leading technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, instrumentation, PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.
  • Hands-on E,C&I maintenance experience within power generation, process, or heavy industry.
  • Competence with CMMS systems and project planning tools.
Desirable:
  • IOSH or NEBOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and outage planning.
