They are seeking an Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join their Manchester-based design team. In this role, you'll be responsible for producing and reviewing technical solutions for auxiliary electrical systems on major renewable and transmission projects, working closely with other engineering disciplines in a collaborative and supportive environment.\n\nAuxiliary Electrical Systems Scope:\n\nFire detection and alarm systems\nLighting, small power, and electrical sub-distribution\nSecurity, access control, and CCTV systemsKey Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop and specify auxiliary electrical systems in compliance with contractual, legal, client, and industry standards.\nReview client specifications and enquiry documentation.\nApprove technical specifications for auxiliary electrical systems pre- and post-contract award on HV projects.\nEvaluate supplier technical submissions during tender and delivery stages.\nReview and approve supplier drawings and design deliverables.\nProvide electrical design expertise and governance within the engineering team.\nUndertake design reviews of subcontractor design packages, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.\nCollaborate with planners to prepare and review project schedules.\nContribute to design and project risk registers.\nTake ownership of workload, programme deliverables, and allocated budgets.\nCollaborate with Mechanical Building Services engineers to provide cross-disciplinary resource and support.Requirements:\n\nHNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.\nBS7671 (18th edition) certification.\nProven experience designing in Dialux.
& competence in Amtech and/or Hevacomp.\nAutoCAD / Revit proficiency is desirable.This is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading EPC contractor delivering some of the UK's most significant renewable energy and grid infrastructure projects
