Our client, a fast-growing specialist in sustainable electrical infrastructure, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding UK team.\n\nThe role focuses on producing high-quality HV and LV designs for renewable energy and EV charging projects up to 11kV, working closely with network operators, engineering teams, and key project stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering innovative, future-focused electrical solutions while developing your career in a supportive, collaborative environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCreate detailed and compliant electrical designs, specifications, and associated documentation.\nDevelop schematics, models, and drawings using industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Amtech, EOM).\nLiaise with project teams, engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards.\nReview, refine, and validate designs to optimise performance and functionality.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation to support installation, commissioning, and operational activities.\nProvide design input during project planning, delivery, and review stages.Requirements:\n\nDegree in electrical engineering or related discipline.\nProven track record in electrical design within the renewable energy, power distribution, or T&D sectors.\nUnderstanding of HV/LV systems and relevant technical standards.\nExperience working with Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) is advantageous.\nSkilled in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, or EOM.\nStrong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.Benefits:\n\n£45,000-£55,000 per annum\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\nPension contribution scheme\nMonday to Friday, 40 hours per week\nOpportunity for hybrid working\nAccess to in-house company benefitsIf you are an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge projects that contribute to a greener future, we would like to hear from you.
