Electrical Design Engineer – Water Industry

Manchester | Permanent or Contract | Full-time (Office-based, flexibility considered)

Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in the water sector?

Our client, a leading design consultancy, is growing their Manchester team and is looking for engineers to support major water and wastewater projects across the UK.

What you’ll be doing

Designing electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.

Producing technical specifications, single line diagrams, and schematics.

Working on LV and HV distribution, MCCs, instrumentation, and control systems.

Coordinating with civil, process, and mechanical engineers on multi-disciplinary projects.

Supporting feasibility, outline, and detailed design phases. What we’re looking for

Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).

Experience within the UK water industry is highly desirable.

Good understanding of relevant design standards, codes, and industry practices.

Familiarity with design software (Amtech, AutoCAD, or similar).

Strong communication and team-working skills. Why join?
