The Service / Engineering Department plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's next chapter, and we're now seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer / Service Engineer to join their team.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out onsite commissioning work (primarily overseas), as well as installation, service, repair, and upgrade of equipment manufactured and supplied by the client.
Providing technical and service support to customers and internal departments.
Supporting manufacturing activities, including machine commissioning and testing.
Contributing to engineering design for existing and new product developments, both hardware and software.
Identifying and implementing design improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety. What We're Looking For
HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, ideally with elements of control systems theory.
Strong experience in control system design, commissioning, and support, preferably gained in a machine-building environment.
Knowledge of PLCs, safety PLCs, HMIs, AC drives, servo drives, and industrial communication networks.
Working understanding of current safety and EMC legislation relating to electrical control systems.
Experience programming in CODESYS.
Familiarity with CE marking and machinery safety standards (BS EN 60204, 13849, 62061) desirable.
Competence using CAD software to produce schematic diagrams, control panel layouts, terminal plans, and assembly drawings.
Project management capability and experience leading tasks through to completion. About You
