Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer – Renewables

Location: Northamptonshire

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing company in the renewables sector based in Northamptonshire. The role will focus on the design and development of renewable energy systems, supporting projects from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards
• Produce technical drawings, schematics, and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with project, R&D, and production teams to deliver reliable solutions
• Provide technical input on renewable energy system design and integration
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities where required

Requirements:

• Ideally 5 years’ experience in electrical design engineering
• Background in renewables or power/energy systems is highly desirable
• Proficiency in electrical design software and CAD tools
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
