Are you an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their technical expertise, gain exposure across the full project lifecycle, and play a key role in delivering sustainable, innovative building services solutions.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and delivering electrical building services solutions across a variety of sectors.
  • Supporting senior engineers on concept, detailed, and technical design.
  • Attending client and design team meetings, building strong professional relationships.
  • Carrying out site surveys, inspections, and condition assessments.
  • Producing specifications, reports, tender documents, and budget costings.
  • Using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux Evo, and Hevacomp to develop high-quality designs.
  • Contributing to a culture of collaboration, mentoring junior engineers where appropriate.


What They’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in electrical building services design (specifications, calculations, and drawings).
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations, CIBSE Guides, British Standards, IEE Wiring Regulations, CDM.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (Revit/BIM advantageous).
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.


Qualifications & Skills

  • HNC (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Familiarity with industry design software: AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux Evo, Hevacomp.
