What you will do

Johnson Controls is seeking an Electrical Engineer that can process engineering bills of materials and drawings to provide a clear-to-build production release for a large commercial air handling product. This may include Computer Room Air Handlers. Responsibilities include performing engineering support activities that may require hands-on construction and testing for the development of new or modified components or products. You will also troubleshoot electrical device problems in a production environment to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently and support software teams. This position is located in York, PA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the York, PA, facility or able to relocate.

How you will do it

\n Provide technical support to and communication among the Engineering and Production teams to assist in efficient execution of building air handling units which includes Variable Speed Drives and other types of electrical and control assemblies \n

Support application and sales teams by providing guidance and executing special requests \n

Prepare non-standard sketches and drawings and prepare design documents \n

Review and mark drawings to support drafting and design \n

Perform simple routine system and component calculations, selections, and write specifications \n

Support the factory by coordinating and completing the programming of controllers \n

Troubleshoot nonconforming systems and components for manufacturing, service, test lab, etc and make recommendations \n

Perform tests and suggest test procedures \n

Provide technical guidance and assistance to electricians and mechanics as necessary to complete and coordinate activities \n

Provide and exchange technical information to vendors, customers, and inspectors for assigned products and components \n

Follow codes and procedures related to job \n

Provide limited training to others in areas of technical and practical knowledge \n

Follow, and participate in creation of standard procedures, test Standards, test procedures, and processes \n

Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards \n

What we look for

Required

\n BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Associates degree with equivalent experience \n

Willingness to work in the office daily, located in York, PA \n

Ability to use CAD to produce 2/3D drawings (AutoCad / Inventor) \n

Up to 10% travel \n

\n

\n Experience and knowledge of HVAC fundamental \n

Experience and knowledge of HVAC and controls \n
