Electrical Engineer – Roam is a rapidly growing EV Infrastructure business where our mission is to Electrify your Everyday. We are driven by our mission and operate by our core values focusing on: People, Enabling Change, Simplicity and Resilience.

What team does this sit within?

This role sits within the Operations team. The team is responsible for delivering a first class roll out of fully funded and managed serviced EV infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-depth site surveys to assess for available power allowing for the completion of accurate, high quality quotes and estimates
  • Work pro-actively with Sales and Account Management to manage surveys and site visits for installations
  • Work with Customer Services to provide pro-active and re-active maintenance on existing sites
  • Minor works installations
  • Commissioning of both A.C and D.C chargepoints
  • Quality assurance reports on our sub-contractors installations
  • Test and inspection using NICEIC portal
  • Act as a brand ambassador and representing Roam at site visits

Are you?

We are seeking candidates with previous experience in a similar role, as well as the following qualifications:

  • Experienced working with large scale commercial/industrial building supply and understanding of how to utilise this supply to suit our installations
  • Previous experience installing electric vehicle charging points whether commercial or domestic
  • Maintenance Engineer experience
  • Understanding of a wide variety of commercial electrical installations
  • Excellent communication with both the office and clients as a Roam representative
  • Drive, commitment, and desire to learn and progress in a fast-paced changing industry
  • Pro-active, and responsive approach to all work
  • Team player, positive attitude

  • City and Guilds 18th Edition - E
  • 2391 Test And Inspection - E
  • Full, clean driving licence - E
  • 2396 Electrical Design Course - D
  • ECS/CSCS cardholder - D
  • 2919-01 EV Charger Course - D
