This role is for our CWM Automation Ltd site - who is part of the Hexadex group of companies CWM is a specialist site employing 40 staff - teams are small and specialise, working with external and internal customer providing bespoke machinery and solutions. Based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, UK Founded in 2006, specializing in bespoke filling, heat sealing, lidding, and end-of-line automation machinery Serves industries including dairy, convenience foods, bakery, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics Machines are tailored to individual customer needs Role Summary: Electrical Designer Work spans small modifications to full bespoke systems Design electrical & pneumatic control systems Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) on ERP system Collaborate across departments and get approval on designs Compile Technical Manuals using inputs from relevant teams Must ensure designs meet customer needs cost-effectively and on schedule Key Responsibilities Develop solutions with the design team Produce schematics in AutoCAD Manage procurement through ERP Communicate progress and obtain sign-off Author comprehensive technical documentation Requirements Qualified in Electrical Design (e.g. Apprenticeship, HNC/HND) Proven experience in similar role of designing automated manufacturing machinery control systems is essential Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and automation systems Industry experience in food or pharmaceuticals preferred, however open to industry. Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills Committed to internal collaboration and company reputation Hours: 8am to 16.30 - Friday finish at 15.30 - on site parking provided
