Electrical Engineer

We are a recruiting for a site Electrical Engineer for our global FMCG manufacturing company based at their Derby. Situated 4 miles from Derby City Centre this is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company at an exciting period of growth.
Reporting to the Electrical Lead Engineer, this role involves a combination of planned and reactive maintenance, along with technical challenges to ensure maximum line efficiency to deliver line KPI's. Providing a high level of engineering technical expertise on shifts, you will be delivering against all safety SOP's, policies and procedures, whilst ensuring the quality and H&S KPI targets are consistently achieved, along with customer service, OEE, PPM and waste targets. You will work to improve controlled systems for the lines/machinery, trouble shooting, maintenance and CI activities, delivering a high level of commitment to achieve rigorous PDR objectives.
Responsibilities
* Support/ensure lines are operating at a maximum efficiency to meet production targets
* Ensure waste levels are kept to a minimum
* Contribute to continuous improvements
* Define, plan and lead the necessary maintenance tasks delivering on time handovers
* Lead/co-ordinate breakdown activities
* Complete route cause analysis
* Participate in audits
Qualifications/Experience
* Production line/machine experience on high speed packaging equipment within FMCG, food or phama
* Trained to an electrical minimum of ONC, HND equivalent (17th Edition ideally but not essential)
* Fault finding and developing PLC programs (Siemens S5 and S7)
* Good knowledge of fault finding and setting up of AC and DC inverter drives
* Knowledge of electrical systems in explosive gas hazardous areas, preferably COMPEX qualified ideally
* IT skills
* Mechanical and pneumatic awareness
* Proven track record of delivering the high performance levels whilst leading from the front
* Analytical skills to drive improvements
* Awareness of quality/good manufacturing practice
* Experience of KPI focussed environments
