Job Description Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer – Moorgate, London – £55,000 + Benefits Location: Moorgate, Central London
Shift Pattern: 4 days on (7.00am-19.00pm), 4 off - 4 nights (19.00pm-7.00am), 4 off
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + Package
The Opportunity Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for your next career move? We’re working with a leading FM service provider on a prestigious critical commercial site in Moorgate, London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional, high-performing engineering team where you’ll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring business continuity at a modern, high-spec facility.
What You’ll Be Doing
\n
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs across the site.
\n
\n
Fault-finding, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of systems including:
\n
HV/LV distribution
\n
\n
UPS systems & backup generators
\n
\n
Lighting, emergency lighting & small power
\n
\n
Electrical panels and control systems
\n
\n
\n
\n
Monitoring & responding to BMS alarms, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
\n
\n
Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards.
\n
\n
Supporting the wider engineering team, liaising with mechanical engineers, contractors, and site management.
\n
\n
Keeping accurate and detailed maintenance records.
\n
\n
What We’re Looking For
\n
Recognised electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 2365, 2330, 18th Edition).
\n
\n
Experience in a commercial building services or critical environment (banking, data centres, hospitals, corporate sites).
\n
\n
Strong working knowledge of UPS, generators, and HV/LV systems.
\n
\n
HV/LV Authorised Person status – desirable but not essential.
\n
\n
A proactive, flexible engineer who takes ownership and works well in a team.
\n
\n
