High Voltage Technician (Electrician)\nLocation: Portsmouth\nHours: 37 hours per week. Some level of flexibility will be expected due to infrequent need to support with overtime\nSalary: £38,000 – £41,700\n Are you an experienced Electrician with a background in HV/LV systems? This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to work within a unique environment that combines historic facilities with cutting-edge infrastructure.\n What you’ll be doing As part of the Electrical Distribution Team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe and reliable power supplies across the site.

Your work will include:\n\nMaintaining and repairing HV and LV systems across the electrical network\nSupporting project delivery as part of wider electrical upgrades and installations\nEnsuring compliance with safety standards and best practices at all times\nResponding to call-outs and providing support during evenings/weekends when required, although this is intermittientThis is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that keeps essential systems running smoothly while contributing to ongoing improvement projects.\n What we’re looking for To be successful in this role, you’ll need:\n\nNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation, or City & Guilds equivalent\nIdeally, BS7671 18th Edition and BS2391 Test & Inspection qualifications\nA full UK driving licence\nGood IT skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile devicesMost importantly, you’ll bring strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and the confidence to work safely under pressure.
