Location: 15 St Andrews Road, Huddersfield, HD1 6SB Hours: 38 hours per week Shift: 2 shifts available Monday Thursday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am to 12:00 pm or Monday Thursday 2:00 pm 10:00 pm, Friday 12:00 pm 6:00 pm (shift allowance) Reporting to: Engineering & Plant Maintenance Division Manager
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and versatile Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and occasionally installing electrical systems on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on process improvement, minimal downtime, and ensuring plant safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound technical knowledge, a hands-on approach, and strong problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems in machinery such as bulk handling systems, extrusion lines, automated transport, and filling systems. Diagnose and repair faults involving sensors, motors, drives, conveyors, and general control systems.
