Electrical Maintenance Engineer We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leadingmanufacturing company based in Poole.
Introduction The primary role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be to perform planned and preventative electrical maintenance on a range of production machinery, equipment and site systems.
Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production equipment and site systems. Install, modifyand commission new manufacturing equipment, ensuring compliance with electrical and safety standards. Inspect, test, and maintain electrical panels, control gear, isolators, and low-voltage systems. Build and modify electrical distribution boxes and control panels to support machinery upgrades. Perform fault finding and repairs on electrical and electronic components, including PLC-controlled equipment. Carry out isolations, safety checks, and electrical repairs in line with site procedures and regulations. Maintain accurate fault reports, maintenance records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability. Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities that are within your capabilities as the Company may from time-to-time require. Comply with company QSHE policies and procedures as well as any other QSHE requirements of the role.
Ideal Experience: Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). Proven industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or process environment. Strong competence in safe isolation, routine fault finding, and interpreting electrical schematics. Experience working with electrical panels, distribution boards, and control systems. Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and deliver solutions under pressure.?
Desired Experience: Knowledge of PLC systems and electronics Experience working with extruders Forklift licence would be advantageous.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Hours : Monday to Friday7.00am - 3.30pm
