Our client, an established and award-winning building services company with over 45 years of experience, is currently seeking a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in the Data Centre sector. With operations across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe, our client serves a diverse range of sectors, focusing on delivering comprehensive mechanical and electrical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and inspections on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, in line with SFG20 standards
  • Carrying out electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications in accordance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations
  • Conducting electrical testing and inspection and issuing the necessary certification, such as EICRs and Minor Works Certificates
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults on systems including LV and HV switchgear, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and critical power supplies
  • Documenting all work accurately and producing regular reports for management
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality, and environmental (EHSQ) procedures
  • Liaising with client teams and supervising external subcontractors as required
  • Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota
  • Job Requirements:

  • A Full UK Driving Licence
  • A City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, or the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS7671)
  • Proven experience in a mobile electrical maintenance role, ideally within a commercial or industrial environment
  • Strong fault-finding skills and an excellent technical understanding of electrical systems
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule to meet agreed deadlines
  • Experience in creating and adhering to Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office applications
  • Desirable Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 for Inspection and Testing
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • An ECS Card, IPAF, or PASMA qualification
