Electrical Mobile Maintenance Engineer

Our client, an established and award-winning building services company with over 45 years of experience, is currently seeking a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in the Data Centre sector. With operations across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe, our client serves a diverse range of sectors, focusing on delivering comprehensive mechanical and electrical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and inspections on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, in line with SFG20 standards
Carrying out electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications in accordance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations
Conducting electrical testing and inspection and issuing the necessary certification, such as EICRs and Minor Works Certificates
Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults on systems including LV and HV switchgear, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and critical power supplies
Documenting all work accurately and producing regular reports for management
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality, and environmental (EHSQ) procedures
Liaising with client teams and supervising external subcontractors as required
Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota
Job Requirements:
A Full UK Driving Licence
A City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, or the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS7671)
Proven experience in a mobile electrical maintenance role, ideally within a commercial or industrial environment
Strong fault-finding skills and an excellent technical understanding of electrical systems
The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule to meet agreed deadlines
Experience in creating and adhering to Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Good communication and customer service skills
Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office applications
Desirable Qualifications:
City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 for Inspection and Testing
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
An ECS Card, IPAF, or PASMA qualification
