Project Engineer £40,000 - £50,000 - Permanent

Hybrid Leeds (2 days per week in office)

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Project Engineer (or OTD Engineer) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone with an electrical engineering background, preferably with experience in the wireless telecoms sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate project delivery from planning through to completion.
  • Work closely with build teams and maintenance support teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Support and liaise with electrical field engineers, providing technical guidance and operational support.
  • Order and manage materials and equipment required for project delivery.
  • Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and industry standards.
  • Contribute to OTD (On-Time Delivery) performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong electrical engineering background HNC/HND or degree level preferred.
  • Experience in the wireless telecoms industry (e.g., mobile networks, RF systems, or infrastructure).
  • Proven experience in a Project Engineer, OTD Engineer, or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with telecoms infrastructure rollout and maintenance.
  • Experience with CDM regulations and site safety practices.
