About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to innovative building services designs across a range of projects, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality solutions that add real value for our clients and support the growth of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Representing MZA Consulting Engineers with passion, professionalism, and a commitment to technical excellence and successful project delivery.
• Producing detailed electrical building services designs, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications, equipment schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborating with clients, professional teams, and contractors, representing MZA in meetings to build strong partnerships.
• Taking projects from concept design through to post-completion evaluation, contributing to innovative and practical solutions.
• Staying informed on relevant legislation, standards, regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies, and applying this knowledge to your work.
• Actively engaging in professional development to enhance technical expertise and career growth.
• Following MZA’s quality procedures and contributing to continuous improvement across projects.
• Supporting wider company initiatives and assisting colleagues to drive collective success.

About You

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer who brings both technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to the role.

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in building services design for Electrical Engineer positions, and at least 6 years for Senior Electrical Engineer roles.
• Proven ability to design building services engineering systems, with the capability to clearly explain and justify design decisions.
• Proficient in design software including: Amtech Prodesign or ElectricalOM, Dialux or Relux, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of British and European Standards, Building Regulations.
• Knowledge of embedded generation integration and specification of renewable technologies.
• Working knowledge of BREEAM and sustainability practices.
• Appreciation of mechanical engineering principles to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards).
• Professional membership with recognised engineering institutions (e.g., CIBSE, IET) is desirable.

• Experience in residential, secure environments, commercial, critical systems, education, or leisure sectors.
