Electrical Shift Engineer- FM Service Provider - 4 ON 4 OFF/ NIGHTS & DAYS (7-7) - CANARY WHARF\n\nFantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM Service provider situated in London at a commercial building in Monument.\n\nSkilled Careers are currently recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to work on a commercial building in Monument.\n\nHe or she will provide an exceptional high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a corporate commercial, occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service.\n\nYou will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive maintenance works to Electrical, HVAC plant and associated equipment.\n\nThe successful candidate will be electrically qualified, have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and will be required to liaise with clients, other service partners and contract support functions throughout the business via telephone and email, therefore excellent communication and computer operation skills are a requirement for this position.\n\nHours of work\n\n4 on 4 off - DAYS & NIGHTS\n\n**07:00am to 19:00pm** or **19.00pm to 07.00am**\n\nKey duties & Responsibilities\n\nEstablish good working relationships with the client Facilities Management Team, to ensure proactive, open, and co-operative partnership\n\t\nMonitor component, system and building performance against target profiles via Building Management System and alert platform\n\t\nSupervise, coordinate and manage the Site Technicians, ensuring that the Operational Team undertake PPM or reactive works in accordance with the agreed timescale, providing technical support and leadership for the site technicians.\n\t\nOperate all systems within the buildings in a competent, effective and efficient manner.\n\t\nContribute information as required for regular and exception reports\n\t\nPropose variations or modifications to modes of operation and or the times of operation of systems to minimise energy consumption\n\t\nInvoke escalation when required through established communication channels\n\t\nEnsure required documentation and records are maintained in line with company processes and procedures.\n\t\nResponsible for incident management and completion of associated forms\n\t\nEnsure the shift log is kept up to date with relative and informed information that proactively assists the shift Team deliver to a constant high standard.\n\t\nEnsure the shift handover report is submitted before the end of shift without exception\n\t\nEnsure all asset and operational issues are clearly recorded to meet contractual KPI’s and SLA’s\n\t\nDevelop a comprehensive understanding of the building layout, functions, and complexities through developed practices through scenario drills, continuous assessments, staff training and personal development\n\t\nEnsure a consistent and up to date understanding of site and asset operational status, utilising the Building Management System and Shift Team\n\nEssential Requirements:\n\nElectrically qualified NVQ Level 3 or equivalent\n\t\nCity & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE Regulations\n\t\nExperienced in the Electrical aspects of general building Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules\n\t\nCompetent working knowledge of HVAP, Air Handling Unit, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment UPS, and Emergency Generators\n\t\nStrong technical background
