We are looking for an electrical bias Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the existing team to deliver contractual obligations to corporate clients. The successful candidate will have experience in building services maintenance and a background of working in corporate, client-facing buildings. The role requires working on site on 12 hour shifts, 4 on/4 off, including days and nights.

Role Purpose

To carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to building plant, equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels and respond to site engineering emergencies. Undertake minor installation works in accordance with client change management structure and statutory compliance protocols.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
  • Respond to Building Management System alarms and carry out emergency repairs as needed.
  • Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
  • Maintain critical cooling water systems and domestic systems to comply with L8 standards; update logbooks accordingly.
  • Ensure suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of critical and non-critical plant.
  • Keep comprehensive maintenance records (task sheets) in hard copy or electronic form; high level IT proficiency required (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with Adobe/Nitro).
  • Ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to; develop and enhance SOPs and EOPs.
  • Supervise engineering subcontractors and ensure compliance with contractual commitments, Permit to Work, and site operating processes.
  • Develop a good working relationship with Integral staff and clients’ staff.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment and ensure compliance with company policies, client site policies, and procedures.
  • Provide professional image of Integral UK to clients and visitors and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Provide shift cover for opposite shift during periods of absence.
  • Attend and support annual building shutdowns when required.
  • All other duties reasonably associated with this role.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Critical Environments (e.g., Banking HQ and Data Centres).
  • LV Authorised Person (Bonus)
  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
  • C&G Pts. 1 & 2, or equivalent
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring and Installation (ability to attain 18th Edition if you have 17th)
  • C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of staff
  • Proactive in achieving high standards of operation
  • Good IT and report writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while delivering required services within deadlines
