An established consultancy who has been around the UK market for years working in a range of sectors including education, commercial, sports facilities, large scale residential and healthcare. They are seeking an intermediate to senior building services electrical design engineer to join their Glasgow office. Ideally you will have experience on similar projects. You must have experience working in UK/Ireland. The business regularly invest in new technologies and focus heavily on career learning and development. Role

• Ensuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems .
• Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.
• Carry out (and managing of others), in the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, dialux, Trimble, in-house developed tools, etc.
• Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
• Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
• Report and technical note writing.
• Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.
• Adherence to all quality, environmental and governance processes.

Qualifications / Experience

• Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
• Post graduate work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
• Ideally have a full UK driving licence, to enable travel to sites as and when required, either as part of wider design team, or individually
• Experienced in the use of AutoCAD, Revit is ideal
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Dialux,Trimble
• Use knowledge of electrical systems to carry out electrical building services design
• Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
