Electrician - Full Training to Become a Smoke Ventilation Engineer

Our client is looking for a hardworking and motivated Electrician to join their growing team in the Greater Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an electrical background to develop their skills and train to become a Smoke Ventilation Engineer.
Full training will be provided, so no prior experience in smoke ventilation is required — just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
To be considered for this role, you must have an electrical background and some commercial experience. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on, and eager to take on a long-term career path.
Experience in the following areas would be a significant advantage:
* Single and three-phase electrical systems
* Electrical control panel fault finding
* Contactors, relays, inverters, and timer relays
* Pneumatics and compressors
* 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous)
What You’ll Be Doing (Once Trained):
* Install, maintain, and repair Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) systems
* Diagnose and resolve faults in AOV systems
* Read and interpret electrical control panels
* Provide on-site support and guidance to customers
* Complete accurate documentation and reports
* Carry out both electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repairs
* Work at heights
* Participate in the on-call rota
* Occasionally stay overnight for jobs (expenses covered)
