Electronic Engineer

Were seeking an experienced Electronic Engineer to join a growing engineering team. Youll play a key role in developing innovative electrical and electronic designs for a range of complex products; from concept through to production. This is a hands-on, technically challenging role offering exposure to the full product lifecycle and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
As an Electronic Engineer, youll work closely with mechanical and software specialists to deliver reliable, efficient and manufacturable design solutions. The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, influence design decisions and support new technology development.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electronic Engineer, take functional hardware requirements and develop efficient, reliable design solutions.
Understand overall system architecture and ensure seamless integration with other hardware and software components.
Conduct calculations and simulations to validate designs before prototype build.
Use CAD tools to produce schematics, wiring schedules and PCB layouts.
Work collaboratively with software engineers to integrate firmware and hardware systems.
Prepare hardware specifications, manufacturing data and test documentation.
Support validation and functional testing, and take part in design reviews and progress meetings.
Provide engineering support for existing products and address obsolescence issues.
Ensure adherence to company quality management and design processes.
Occasionally work on customer sites in the UK and overseas.
About You
HNC or higher qualification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Proven experience as an Electronic Engineer in electronic/electrical hardware design and systems engineering.
Strong practical design skills, from concept to manufacture.
Proficiency with CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
Excellent communication, documentation and teamwork skills.
Ability to problem-solve and innovate within a collaborative engineering environment.
