Overview

An exciting opportunity within the Component Engineering team to help shape and support across the business. No two days are the same supporting a large network of teams within the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Electronic Components and assess market trends and technical risks.
  • Provide technical advisement to a large number of stakeholders across the business, including Projects, Engineering teams, Procurement, and Customer Service Support.
  • Lead in an Electronics or RF semiconductor specialism and maintain expertise to support design reviews, training, and development activities.
  • Collaborate on international initiatives, helping define best practice and ensure adherence to agreed methodologies.
  • Pass knowledge to others and contribute to MBDA’s capability through mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience within an electronic component discipline.
  • Knowledge of electronic suppliers, especially in semiconductors.
  • Appreciation of REACH and RoHS regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactivity and self-motivation to improve self, improve processes, and complete tasks.
  • Experience in supply chain and knowledge of Electrical and electro-mechanical products is advantageous.

  • The Component Engineering team operates from Stevenage and Bolton sites and is composed of a diverse, supportive group.

Benefits and Conditions

  • Salary: Circa £48,000 depending on experience
  • Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on-site
  • Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship; BPSS checks after offer
