Electronics Design Engineer

Our client is a leading, well established and respected manufacturingbusiness. 
Due to company growth, they have an opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join the team.

Duties:

·Conceptual and detailed design and development of machinery for use within the converting industry.

·Design of sophisticated control systems including variable speed drives, PLC and field bus systems

·Transform a written specification into a complete design including a set of schematic drawings and a complete bill of materials within the company ERP system

·Design for manufacture and assembly

·Liaising with suppliers on bought out components and with other departments

·Development of test plans and procedures

·Lead or support contractual and development projects to aggressive timescales and budgets

Requirements:

  • Experience with EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principles including Electrical Circuit Diagrams and symbols
  • Familiarity with EN60204 and EN13849
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude to teamwork
  • Understanding of Pneumatics and Hydraulics
  • A highly motivated individual who can work equally well alone or within a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Experience working in a cross-functional design environment
