Job Description:

The Electronics Safety and Reliability Engineer supports the EC&I Systems and Safety team in developing system design, safety case, and information assurance case for Reactor Control and Instrumentation, Power Systems, and Plant Sensors for the Dreadnought and SSN AUKUS submarine classes. Responsibilities include supporting safety campaigns, performing electrical control systems safety analysis, developing safety cases, hazard identification, safety analysis, and producing technical reports. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to produce and present substantiation and manage engineering changes.

Who we're looking for:

Applicants should be qualified to degree level in Engineering, Maths, Physics, or have equivalent relevant experience. Demonstrable proactivity, determination, delivery focus, and the ability to produce clear technical reports are essential. Experience with hazard identification techniques such as FMEAs, HAZOPs, Fault & Event Tree Analysis, and reliability evaluation methods is preferable.
