Overview

Elite Transient Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (including Warrant Officer) covering Crewe and Stockport. Location: Transient. Compensation: £44,805 / year. Hours: Working away - 1 week out of 4. 40 hours per week: Travel Sunday, Working Monday – Thursday 8am – 7pm, Travel Home Friday. Working from your home postcode - week 4. Location: expected to cover Crewe (CW) and Stockport.

This role involves upskilling to deliver a variety of positive outcomes for customers and the business, focusing on quality and safety. It is predominantly in the commercial metering sector with opportunities to upskill in additional metering areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment and communication systems
• Undertake debt resolution visits with the aim to fit a Smart Meter to help customers manage their debt
• Attend warrants as an engineer and as a Warrant Officer

• A “can-do” attitude and willingness to participate in a variety of field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes
• Knowledge and practice in metering installation and maintenance with emphasis on safety
• Ability to engage with customers to resolve debt-related issues in a collaborative manner
• Willingness to undertake warrant visits as required

Essential Qualifications / Experience

• Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
• Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
• Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)

Desirable

• MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
• Current Transformer (CT)
• Three Phase
• REGT1 – Medium Pressure
