Elite Transient Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (including Warrant Officer) - Shrewsbury

Location: Shrewsbury

Compensation: £44,805 / year

Department: YUS - FT13 - General Engineers

Hours: Working away - 2 weeks out of 4. 40 hours per week; Travel Sunday, working Monday – Thursday 8am – 7pm, Travel Home Friday. Week 4: working from home postcode. Location to cover Llandudno (LL) / Shrewsbury (SY) postcodes only.

Onboarding: £3,000 onboarding bonus. Technical upskilling, full debt training and ongoing mentoring support provided.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe installation, exchange, commission, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment and communication systems.
• Undertake debt resolution visits with the aim to fit a Smart Meter to help customers manage their debt.
• Undertake warrant officer visits to recover debt.
• Deliver a variety of positive outcomes to customers and business with a focus on quality and safety.
• Operate predominately in the commercial sector and upskill to: three phase, medium pressure, half-hourly/CT metering, and gas U16 – U40 (as opportunities arise).

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience
• Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
• Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)

• MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
• Current Transformer (CT)
• Three Phase
• REGT1-Medium Pressure

• UK Driving Licence
• Pass a colour blindness test
• Pass a DBS check
